Design Engineer

Role Description The Design Engineer will work on the full lifecycle of agro-related products and equipment, from concept development to detailed design and implementation. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and refining 2D and 3D models, preparing engineering drawings, performing basic calculations, and collaborating with mechanical and electrical teams to ensure designs meet performance, safety, and cost requirements. The role involves working with cross-functional stakeholders to understand field needs, incorporating feedback into product improvements, and supporting prototype builds and testing. The Design Engineer will document designs, maintain technical records, and assist in resolving design-related issues during manufacturing and installation. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Halvad.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Design Engineering and Product Design skills for developing and improving agricultural equipment and systems.
Candidates should possess Mechanical Engineering skills to handle structural design, materials selection, and basic strength calculations.
Candidates should possess Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills for creating 2D drawings and 3D models using industry-standard CAD software.
Candidates should possess Electrical Engineering awareness to coordinate with electrical teams and integrate mechanical and electrical components effectively.
Candidates should possess solid problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to interpret technical specifications and standards.
Candidates should possess effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with manufacturing, field, and cross-functional teams on-site.
Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or a related field is preferred; experience in agro or industrial equipment design is an advantage.
Familiarity with prototyping, basic testing procedures, and continuous improvement methodologies is beneficial.
