Hiring: Lead Design Architect – US Projects
Experience:** 13–20 years
Mandatory:** Minimum 7–8 years of hands-on experience working on US-based projects
Locations:** Gurugram / Visakhapatnam
We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Design Architect to lead architectural design and documentation for US-based residential and commercial building projects at a US-backed, technology-driven company.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead architectural design from concept and design development through detailed construction documentation and IFC drawings.
- Personally develop and review architectural drawings, details and design solutions using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Apply US building codes and standards, including IBC, ADA and applicable AHJ requirements.
- Coordinate architectural design with structural, MEP, façade and other disciplines.
- Resolve design discrepancies, technical issues and constructability challenges arising during execution.
- Work directly with US clients and independently own design decisions, deliverables and quality.
Mandatory Requirements
- 13–20 years of total professional experience in architecture.
- Minimum 7–8 years of direct experience delivering architectural projects in the United States.
- Strong experience in residential, high-rise residential and/or commercial building projects.
- Advanced working proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
- Demonstrated knowledge of IBC, ADA and applicable US jurisdictional requirements.
- Proven hands-on ownership of architectural design, detailing and construction documentation.
- Strong understanding of construction execution, site coordination and buildability.
- Ability to communicate with clients and coordinate effectively across disciplines.
Preferred
- Experience with modular or prefabricated building systems.
- Exposure to parametric design tools such as Dynamo or Rhino.
Important:This is a hands-on architectural design role. Candidates whose experience is primarily project management, BIM coordination or design review, without personally developing and owning architectural design deliverables, will not be suitable.
Location Note: Candidates based in Visakhapatnam may initially be required to work from Gurugram for onboarding and familiarisation with project processes before transitioning to Visakhapatnam.
