Citi Japan is hiring an Operations Assistant Manager to lead corporate facility and vendor operations within its Global Hospitality Services function in Japan — a role focused on managing multi-site service delivery, third-party vendor governance, and operational controls within a large financial institution. Advanced Japanese and business-level English are both required for this role.
This role is best suited to candidates with solid management and people management experience, gained either within a large corporate/financial services environment or within hotel or event management settings, where governance, risk controls, and multi-stakeholder coordination play a central role. 本ポジションは、大企業・金融機関等の法人環境、またはホテル・イベント運営分野において、確かなマネジメント経験・人材マネジメント経験をお持ちの方に適しています。ガバナンスやリスク管理、多様なステークホルダーとの連携経験があれば尚可です。
Responsibilities / 業務内容
・Coordinate daily hospitality operations across client center services, reception, event catering, colleague dining, and vending to keep service delivery consistent across all locations.
・Manage third-party vendor relationships by tracking performance, resolving issues quickly, and confirming contractual commitments are met.
・Support the Operations Manager by acting as a hospitality subject matter expert and contributing to people management and project initiatives.
・Identify service gaps and coordinate corrective actions so delivery stays aligned with Citi's global standards.
・Track operational budgets, flag cost efficiencies, and produce statistical reports that support governance and risk oversight.
・Apply compliance guidelines, handle sensitive information with discretion, and support controls that reduce operational and reputational risk.
・Share hospitality product knowledge with suppliers and internal stakeholders to keep service outcomes well informed across the Japan market.
Required Qualifications & Skills / 必須要件・スキル
・5+ years of operations and people/vendor management experience gained within a large corporate, financial services, or similarly regulated organization, or within hotel or event management settings — such as executive services, facilities, or corporate service operations, with exposure to governance and compliance requirements being a plus. 大企業・金融機関等の法人環境、またはホテル・イベント運営分野におけるオペレーション・人材マネジメント・ベンダー管理業務の経験5年以上必須（エグゼクティブサービス、施設管理、コーポレートサービス運営等を含む）。規制業界特有のガバナンス・コンプライアンス対応の経験があれば尚可。
・A track record managing third-party vendors, including performance oversight, issue resolution, and ongoing relationship management.
・Working knowledge of operational controls and governance processes needed to maintain service compliance in a regulated corporate environment.
・Experience in client-facing service environments where quality, responsiveness, and professionalism drive outcomes.
・A university degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
・Advanced Japanese language proficiency for daily communication and negotiation with local vendors and service providers.
・Business-level English proficiency to engage with global stakeholders and leadership across Citi's international network.
Beneficial Skills & Qualifications / 歓迎要件
・A Food Safety Management certification, such as HACCP, showing commitment to service safety and operational rigor.
・A certification in managerial leadership or process improvement, such as PMP or Lean Six Sigma.
・Experience operating within a large, matrixed global organization, particularly in financial services or a similarly fast-paced corporate setting.
