Civil Engineering Manager / Civil Engineering Director

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Civil Engineering Manager / Civil Engineering Director to lead engineering operations, oversee project delivery, and drive technical excellence across civil engineering projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong engineering expertise, proven leadership capabilities, and commercial awareness to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards. This role plays a key part in optimizing project performance, developing engineering teams, and supporting the company's long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee civil engineering projects from planning and design through construction, commissioning, and completion.
Manage engineering teams, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders to ensure effective coordination and timely project delivery.
Review and approve engineering designs, technical drawings, specifications, calculations, and project documentation.
Monitor project schedules, budgets, resource allocation, quality standards, and overall engineering performance.
Ensure compliance with relevant engineering codes, building regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements.
Identify technical challenges, assess project risks, and implement effective engineering solutions.
Develop engineering strategies, improve operational efficiency, and establish best practices across projects.
Provide technical guidance and strategic recommendations to senior management on project planning and execution.
Support tender preparation, business development, client engagement, and resource planning where required.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline; a Master's Degree is an advantage.
Professional engineering registration, such as Professional Engineer (PE), is preferred or required where applicable.
Extensive experience in civil engineering, infrastructure, construction, or related industries, with a proven track record in project and team leadership.
Strong knowledge of engineering design, construction methodologies, project management, and relevant regulatory requirements.
Demonstrated ability to manage multidisciplinary teams, project budgets, schedules, and multiple priorities.
Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
