Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai for a CNC Jewellery Designer and Programmer. The role involves creating detailed jewellery designs, converting concepts into precise technical drawings, and developing CAD models suitable for CNC machining. The designer will prepare and optimize CNC programs, ensure accurate tool paths, and coordinate with production teams to achieve high-quality output. Daily tasks include reviewing design specifications, adjusting models for manufacturability, performing test runs, and troubleshooting design or programming issues. The role also includes maintaining design files, adhering to quality and safety standards, and collaborating with design, quality, and manufacturing colleagues to meet delivery timelines.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Jewelry Design and Fashion Jewelry, with an understanding of current trends and manufacturing constraints.
Candidates should possess Drawing and Product Design skills to translate concepts into accurate technical representations.
Candidates should possess Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills, ideally with experience in jewellery-specific CAD software and CNC-compatible file preparation.
Candidates should possess CNC programming and machine operation skills, including tool path creation, parameter setting, and basic troubleshooting.
Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Jewellery Design, Product Design, Mechanical Design, or a related field are beneficial.
Attention to detail, ability to read and interpret technical drawings, and familiarity with production workflows in jewellery manufacturing are advantageous.
Strong communication skills, ability to work in a team, and a readiness to learn new tools and techniques will be highly valued.
