Network Architect

Role Description This is a part-time remote role for a Network Architect at Historias con apellido. The Network Architect will design and document scalable network architectures that support secure and reliable connectivity for the organization’s platforms and services. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing current and future network requirements, creating network diagrams, selecting appropriate technologies, and collaborating with engineering and security teams to implement solutions. The role involves configuring and optimizing network components, establishing standards and best practices, and performing regular audits to ensure performance, resilience, and security. The Network Architect will also troubleshoot complex network issues, support incident resolution, and contribute to long-term infrastructure planning and compliance with relevant policies.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Network Architecture and Network Design to create scalable, secure, and resilient network solutions.
Candidates should possess skills in Network Engineering to implement, configure, and integrate network components and services.
Candidates should possess skills in Network Administration to manage day-to-day operations, monitoring, and maintenance of network environments.
Candidates should possess skills in Network Security to design and maintain secure network configurations, access controls, and protection mechanisms.
Experience with routing and switching technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs), VPNs, firewalls, and cloud networking is beneficial.
Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent, and experience with major cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) are advantageous.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, effective written and verbal communication, and the capacity to work independently in a remote setting are expected.
