Role Description The Design Engineer 2D and 3D role is a full-time, on-site position based in Pune District. The person in this role will create and refine 2D and 3D designs for gas chlorinators and related chlorine handling equipment, ensuring alignment with mechanical, electrical, and product specifications. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing CAD models and detailed drawings, collaborating with engineering teams to translate functional requirements into manufacturable designs, and supporting prototyping and testing activities. The role also involves updating design documentation, participating in design reviews, optimizing designs for performance and safety, and coordinating with production and quality teams for smooth implementation. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to support continuous improvement of existing products and the development of new solutions.
Qualifications
Strong design engineering skills, with experience in 2D and 3D design and product design for industrial or mechanical systems.
Solid foundation in mechanical engineering principles, including materials, tolerances, and manufacturing processes.
Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar) for modeling, drafting, and assembly design.
Basic to intermediate understanding of electrical engineering concepts relevant to embedded systems, sensors, and automated equipment.
2–5 years of experience in a design engineering role, preferably in industrial equipment, water treatment, or related sectors.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Product Design, or a related technical discipline.
Ability to interpret technical specifications, standards, and safety requirements, and translate them into practical design solutions.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams on-site.
Attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies such as IoT and automation.
