Long-Term Opportunity | Projects E&I Inspector
Sofomation is looking for experienced Projects Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Inspectors for a long-term, onshore assignment with in Middle East. Candidates with strong QA/QC inspection experience in Oil & Gas projects are encouraged to apply.
📍 Location: Qatar – Onshore
⏳ Experience Required: Minimum 8 Years for Degree holder & 12 Years for Diploma Holder.
🎓 Qualification: Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, or suitable equivalent, with relevant Electrical and/or Instrumentation trade certificates.
🗓️ Working Schedule: 8 Hours/Day | 6 Days/Week
🔧 Key Responsibilities & Expertise:
✅ Electrical and Instrumentation QA/QC inspection in project environments
✅ Procurement, fabrication, installation, hook-up, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities
✅ Inspection of LV/MV equipment, transformers, switchgear, motors, UPS, battery banks, relays, CTs, lighting, and power distribution systems
✅ Inspection of DCS, ESD, field instruments, analyzers, and instrument tubing
✅ Familiarity with Fire & Gas, PAGA, and Telecom systems
✅ Material receiving inspections, installation inspections, testing, calibration, and commissioning inspections
✅ Review of ITPs, procedures, quality documentation, and inspection reports
✅ Identification, documentation, and follow-up of NCRs and quality issues
📚 Required Standards Knowledge
Familiarity with relevant international electrical and instrumentation codes and standards, including IEC, NEC, NFPA, BS, NEMA, NETA, and ATEX/IECEx (IEC 60079).
