We’re looking for a Full-Stack Software Engineer — SDE-1 with strong engineering fundamentals, experience contributing to production systems and practical command of AI-assisted development. You should already use tools such as Cursor, Claude Code or GitHub Copilot in your engineering workflow, with the technical judgement to review, challenge and improve their output.
About the Role
You’ll build applications, integrations and internal tools that directly influence how Babaclick operates. Projects often begin with a business problem rather than a complete technical specification. Working with engineering and business teams, you’ll understand the workflow, clarify requirements, develop a solution and help keep it reliable in production.
Your work will span frontend applications, backend services, databases, APIs and automation. We’re looking for someone who thinks carefully about what needs to be built, understands the trade-offs and follows through on implementation.
What You’ll Work On
Build and maintain full-stack applications, internal platforms and operational tools.
Develop APIs and integrations connecting business systems, external services and commerce platforms.
Automate workflows across sourcing, pricing, supplier management, catalogue operations and fulfilment.
Improve data quality, database structures, dashboards and reporting.
Use AI coding assistants to support implementation, debugging, testing and documentation.
Investigate production issues, identify root causes and improve system reliability.
Contribute through pull requests, code reviews and clear technical documentation.
Work with business users to validate that solutions address the original problem and function reliably in practice.
What We’re Looking For
1+ years of professional software engineering experience, contributing to production systems and shared codebases, ideally within a product, SaaS, fintech, technology or e-commerce business.
A strong foundation in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT or a related discipline, supported by practical engineering ability.
Solid full-stack development fundamentals, including application logic, APIs, databases, debugging and testing.
Experience delivering useful software, integrations, automation or internal tools, with a clear understanding of your individual contribution.
Confidence working with Git/GitHub, branches, pull requests, code reviews and existing repositories.
Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and ownership of assigned work.
Clear written and spoken English, including the ability to explain technical decisions and ask focused questions.
The ability to learn unfamiliar systems quickly and question assumptions constructively.
AI-Assisted Development
AI-assisted development is an established part of how we work. You should be able to demonstrate how you use it in real engineering tasks, including how you:
Break down requirements into clear implementation steps.
Provide relevant context and instructions within an existing codebase.
Review generated code for correctness, maintainability, security and edge cases.
Debug weak implementations and validate changes through appropriate testing.
Retain responsibility for technical decisions and the code you ship.
We’ll assess your ability to explain and defend the resulting implementation, alongside how effectively you use the tools.

Relevant technologies include TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, React, Next.js, Node.js, SQL, PostgreSQL and REST APIs.
You don’t need experience with every technology listed. We’re interested in strong fundamentals, depth in the tools you’ve used and evidence that you can learn and contribute across the stack.
Business Understanding & Judgement
Our engineers work closely with the people using their systems. You’ll need to understand operational constraints, weigh implementation effort against business value and recognise when a simpler solution is sufficient.
