Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Architect role based in Mylapore. The Architect will be responsible for developing architectural concepts, preparing design drawings, and translating client requirements into functional, aesthetic solutions. Daily tasks include coordinating with the design team, producing detailed plans and presentations, and collaborating with consultants to ensure design integrity and technical feasibility. The role also involves participation in client meetings, site visits, and oversight of project progress to maintain quality, timelines, and adherence to design intent. The Architect will contribute to both architecture and interior projects, supporting VPA’s commitment to innovative, conscious design.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Architecture and Architectural Design, including concept development, space planning, and detailing.
Candidates should possess relevant Project Management skills, such as coordinating stakeholders, tracking timelines, and supporting budget and resource planning.
Candidates should possess foundational knowledge of Software Development and Integration only as it relates to architectural tools and workflows (e.g., BIM, CAD, visualization software).
Proficiency in industry-standard design and drafting tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar) and presentation software.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture from an accredited institution, with valid professional registration or eligibility preferred.
Strong design portfolio demonstrating thoughtful spatial solutions, technical competence, and originality.
Ability to work on-site in Mylapore, collaborate within a team, communicate clearly with clients and consultants, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Interest in contemporary design discourse, sustainable practices, and continuous skill development is highly beneficial.
