Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Nashik for an Tekla
& SDS2 Modeler / Steel Detailer / Checker. The role involves creating and modifying detailed 3D steel models and fabrication drawings using SDS2, including plans, elevations, sections, and connection details. The team member will review design drawings and specifications, interpret building codes and standards, and ensure that all steel detailing complies with project requirements. Daily tasks include coordinating with engineers and project managers, resolving design and constructability issues, and performing thorough checking of models and drawings for accuracy, completeness, and consistency. The role also includes preparing reports, maintaining project documentation, and supporting smooth communication with fabrication shops and construction teams.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong steel detailing and modeling skills, including experience with Tekla SDS/2, detailing software) and familiarity with structural steel components and connections.
Candidates should possess sound technical knowledge of structural engineering concepts, relevant codes and standards (such as AISC), and the ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
Candidates should possess quality-focused skills in drawing review, checking, and error detection, with attention to detail, dimensional accuracy, and clarity of documentation.
Candidates should possess project coordination skills, including communication with engineers, fabricators, and site teams, along with basic time management and organizational abilities.
Candidates should possess foundational computer skills, including proficiency in CAD tools, office productivity software, and digital documentation workflows.
Diploma or bachelor’s degree in civil / structural engineering or a related field is preferred, along with prior experience in steel detailing or modeling roles.
Ability to work on-site in Nashik, collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, and adapt to evolving project requirements is essential.
