The Role
Every grain of rice, every jar of ghee and every packet of dal that leaves Zama passes through your floor.
Our farmers grow it and our customers cook with it. You're the one who makes sure what reaches them is exactly what we promised: clean, accurately packed, on time, every time. We need someone who takes pride in a perfectly run all grocery related processes across our warehouses in Mumbai and Nashik, one who notices the small things before they become big ones, and who wants to build systems rather than just follow them.
What you'll own
You'll run production and packing for our grocery range, from raw material to finished, labelled product ready to ship. You'll lead and schedule the labour team, set the standard on the floor, and get the best out of the people you work with. You'll own inventory end to end, manage across both warehouses in Mumbai and Nashik so you always know what we have, where it is, what's moving, what's ageing and what's about to run out. You'll work closely with QC so that nothing leaves the warehouse below Zama's standard. You'll partner with purchase on planning, so raw materials arrive when needed rather than too early or too late. You'll coordinate with sales, dispatch and the founders' team so that production matches demand. You'll find what slows us down or wastes product or money, and fix it. You'll build the processes, trackers and routines that let this operation scale as Zama grows.
Who you are
You have experience in production, warehouse or inventory management, ideally in food, FMCG or groceries. You've managed labour teams, and people respect you on the floor. You're comfortable with stock tracking and inventory systems, whether that means Excel or an ERP. You understand food handling, hygiene and quality standards, and knowledge of FSSAI requirements is a plus. You're organised, hands-on, and calm when an order goes wrong. You communicate well across teams and aren't afraid to raise a problem early. You care about getting it right, not just getting it done.
