About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Test Engineer - Network Protocol & Automation Testing with experience in telecom and broadband product testing, automation framework development, and release qualification. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python automation, Layer 2/Layer 3 networking protocols, NMS/EMS platforms, CI/CD environments, and telecom access technologies.
Roles and Responsibilities
Develop and maintain automation frameworks using Python, PyTest, Robot Framework, Selenium, and Shell Scripting.
Perform manual and automated testing of telecom, networking, broadband, NMS, and EMS products. •
Validate networking protocols including TCP/IP, VLAN, DHCP, PPPoE, LACP, IGMP, and TR-069. •
Test device management interfaces and protocols such as CLI, SNMP, NETCONF, and REST APIs.
Execute and automate functional, integration, interoperability, regression, performance, load, scalability, and stability testing.
Support CI/CD-driven testing and release qualification using Jenkins, Git, and related tools.
Work with broadband technologies including DSL, VDSL, GPON, XGS-PON, OLT, ONT, and G.fast.
Investigate customer issues, perform root-cause analysis, validate fixes, and ensure product quality.
Utilize network analysis and traffic-generation tools such as Wireshark, Spirent, and IXIA.
What We're Looking For
5-10 years of experience in telecom, networking, or broadband product testing.
Strong understanding of Layer 2/Layer 3 networking protocols and network validation methodologies.
Proven experience in test automation framework development and Python-based scripting.
Hands-on experience with NMS/EMS platforms.
Strong troubleshooting, debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Experience working in Agile and CI/CD environments.
Exposure to virtualization and cloud-based test environments is a plus.
