About the opportunity
Qinecsa Solutions is looking for an Associate Director, Bid Management to lead and scale our bid management function across Technology and Pharmacovigilance services. You will own proposal governance and portfolio oversight across new-logo opportunities, customer expansions, renewals, and change requests—from initial request through to agreed contract, order form, or statement of work.
This is a hands-on leadership role in a small team. You will lead and develop Bid Managers while personally managing strategic, complex, time-critical, or high-risk bids. Working across Commercial, Solution Design, Delivery, Product, Finance, Legal, and InfoSec/Compliance, you will bring specialist inputs together into compelling, compliant, and on-time responses.
What you’ll do
Lead, coach, and develop the Bid Management team, setting clear standards for ownership, quality, commercial awareness, stakeholder management, and delivery discipline.
Own the end-to-end bid management process, with clear intake, triage, accountability, governance, escalation, and approval routes.
Manage the proposal portfolio across deadlines, capacity, dependencies, risks, approvals, and outcomes; allocate and rebalance work before delivery is threatened.
Personally lead complex, strategic, time-critical, or high-risk bids from mobilization through submission and contracting.
Partner with Commercial leaders on bid/no-bid decisions, opportunity prioritization, and early identification of delivery, commercial, legal, or capacity constraints.
Oversee pricing, estimating, resourcing, assumptions, scope, and commercial outputs across software, professional services, and managed services.
Draft, coordinate, and review proposals, RFP responses, SaaS order forms, statements of work, questionnaires, and other commercial artefacts.
Ensure every client response is complete, internally aligned, compliant, proofread, and approved through proportionate governance.
Build scalable processes, templates, reusable content, proposal knowledge, Sales Catalogue governance, and responsible use of AI, automation, and workflow tools.
Define and report performance measures covering timeliness, quality, compliance, workload, stakeholder engagement, and outcomes.
What you’ll bring
Substantial experience leading complex B2B bids, RFPs, tenders, customer changes, expansions, and renewals end to end.
Experience managing bid, proposal, pursuit, or commercial operations professionals, including workload allocation, coaching, and quality oversight.
A strong record of establishing or improving bid governance, processes, templates, reporting, and knowledge management.
Commercial strength and the confidence to challenge and align pricing, assumptions, estimates, scope, and commercial outputs.
Working knowledge of statements of work, order forms, master services agreements, and related contract and approval workflows.
Credibility to influence senior stakeholders across Commercial, Finance, Legal, Product, Engineering, and Delivery without relying on positional authority.
Exceptional written English, sound judgement, meticulous attention to detail, and composure under competing priorities and compressed timelines.
A hands-on leadership style and the ability to move confidently between portfolio leadership, people management, and direct proposal delivery.
It would be an advantage if you also have
Experience in SaaS, technology services, life sciences, or another regulated industry.
Experience building or scaling a bid management capability across multiple geographies.
Exposure to public-sector or formal procurement processes.
Familiarity with ISO 27001, SOC 2, or equivalent security and compliance questionnaires.
Experience with CRM, contract lifecycle management, workflow automation, bid management, and content management tools.
APMP certification or equivalent structured bid-management training.
What success looks like
Bid Management operates as a recognized function with clear ownership, governance, service expectations, and escalation routes.
The full proposal portfolio is visible and actively managed before deadlines, capacity constraints, dependencies, or risks become critical.
Strategic bids receive appropriate senior oversight, and every response is complete, consistent, compliant, and reviewed.
Bid Managers have clear accountabilities, strong support, sustainable workloads, and opportunities to develop.
Quality, timeliness, consistency, and efficiency improve measurably through better processes, content, tools, and reporting.
Why join Qinecsa Solutions?
You will have the opportunity to shape and lead a disciplined bid management capability within a growing technology organization. Your work will influence how opportunities become successful customer engagements, with visible impact across Commercial, Solutions Consulting, Product, Delivery, Legal, Finance, and Compliance.
