Position: Java Backend Developer with Kubernetes
Location: Vadodara
Job Summary
Role Overview
We are seeking a Java Backend Developer to support the development, enhancement, and modernization of MDES applications. The candidate should have hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Kubernetes and be comfortable working in an Agile engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
Build and enhance RESTful APIs and microservices components.
Support containerization and Kubernetes migration activities under the guidance of senior engineers.
Implement application enhancements and region-specific configuration changes.
Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following established coding standards.
Develop unit tests and support integration testing and defect resolution.
Participate in CI/CD pipeline execution, deployment validation, and troubleshooting.
Collaborate with developers, SDET engineers, and technical leads during sprint delivery.
Assist in application documentation, knowledge sharing, and production issue investigation. Mandatory Technical Skills
3+ years of hands-on Java development experience.
Good working knowledge of Java 11/17+, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and Microservices.
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker, including basic application deployments, pod monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Experience developing REST APIs and integrating backend services.
Knowledge of Spring Data JPA, Hibernate, SQL, and relational databases.
Familiarity with Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience writing unit tests using JUnit and Mockito.
Understanding of microservices communication, exception handling, and application logging. Preferred Skills
Exposure to payments or financial services applications.
Knowledge of Kafka or other messaging systems.
Familiarity with Helm and cloud environments.
Experience working with Agile/Scrum teams.
