Senior Technical Product Owner - Web & Digital Platforms

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner / Technical Product Manager to lead the roadmap, backlog, and delivery of a complex digital platform. The role requires a unique blend of business acumen and technical expertise, with responsibility for translating business needs into clear requirements, driving platform strategy, and partnering closely with developers, architects, and global stakeholders.
The successful candidate will oversee integrations across CMS, eCommerce, product content and digital asset platforms, manage cross-functional dependencies, ensure platform stability and successful releases, and champion automation, modernization, and agile best practices while coaching engineering teams toward scalable, high-quality solutions.
Tasks
Ownership of backlog and roadmap — balancing new business features, operational needs, and technical debt into transparent priorities
Translation of business needs into clear requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria and measurable outcomes
Act as a strong technical sparring partner for developers, architects, and global tech leads, including deep-dive discussions on solution design, APIs, integrations and implementation approach.
Overview of integrations and data flows across CMS, eCommerce, product content, asset delivery
Dependency management across international teams
Coach and guide developers on technical topics, engineering best practices, platform understanding, and solution thinking.
Platform health — incident prioritization, root cause follow-up, corrective actions in the backlog
Release coordination with development and operations
Scrum ceremonies, automation and modernization opportunities
Qualifications
Degree in Business Information Systems, IT, Computer Science, or comparable background
5+ years in product ownership, digital product management or platform management
3+ years working directly with software development teams
Backlog ownership for an integration-heavy product — interfaces, dependencies, operational topics
Able to read a system landscape, follow data flows and API contracts, challenge technical trade-offs, translate in both directions
Application operations and production support — incident prioritization, root cause follow-up
Jira, Confluence, agile delivery (Scrum, Kanban, or Scrumban)
Excellent English Nice to Have
PIM, DAM, CMS, product content or asset delivery — SAP Commerce Cloud, SAP PCM, FirstSpirit or comparable
REST APIs, event-driven architectures, integration patterns
AWS or Azure, cloud-native integration services
Git, CI/CD, automated testing, Grafana or CloudWatch, ServiceNow
Background in software development, solution engineering, or technical consulting
