VFX EXECUTIVE PRODUCER

Role Description The VFX Executive Producer is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, responsible for overseeing end-to-end visual effects production across multiple shows, promos, and special projects. This role includes managing VFX project planning, budgeting, resourcing, and scheduling, while ensuring creative vision and technical quality meet Sun TV Network’s standards. The VFX Executive Producer will collaborate closely with directors, producers, creative heads, and post-production teams to define VFX requirements, supervise vendor and in-house teams, and resolve creative and technical challenges. Day-to-day tasks involve reviewing storyboards and animatics, approving shot designs, monitoring production milestones, conducting regular quality checks, and guiding teams to deliver on time and within budget. The role also includes maintaining industry relationships, evaluating new tools and workflows, and supporting strategic decisions to scale VFX capabilities for the network.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong VFX production and post-production skills, including experience overseeing CG, compositing, and motion graphics workflows.
Candidates should possess skills in project and team management, such as budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and stakeholder coordination.
Candidates should possess creative leadership skills, including the ability to interpret scripts, guide visual storytelling, and maintain a consistent aesthetic across projects.
Candidates should possess communication and collaboration skills, including clear client-facing communication, cross-functional teamwork, and conflict resolution.
Candidates should possess technical understanding of common VFX tools and pipelines (e.g., compositing, 3D, rendering, color workflows), even if not hands-on in all software.
Extensive experience in film, television, or streaming content as a VFX Producer or Executive Producer, with a strong portfolio of delivered work, is highly beneficial.
A bachelor’s degree in film, animation, media production, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience, is preferred.
