Description
We are looking for **Ruby on Rails Developers** to join our team of consultants based in Quebec City or Montreal for permanent positions.
These positions are fully remote.
As consultants with Chrome Technologies, the selected candidates will work with our clients to deliver the projects entrusted to us.
Tâches
Six engineers, based in Canada in the Atlantic or Eastern time zone, on a nine-month initial term starting in October:
3 intermediate Ruby on Rails backend developers.
3 intermediate full-stack developers, Ruby on Rails and React.
Snowflake expertise is an asset for all of them. We'd look for strong AI tool adoption, able to work with a high level of quality and productivity using Claude Code.
Team as a Service
A team lead plus 2-3 Ruby on Rails engineers, with React experience across at least part of the team. For this model we'd also consider some near-shore resources operating in similar time zones.
Exigences
Intermediate Ruby on Rails Backend Developer (3 positions)
Basic Requirements:
3+ years of professional backend development experience.
Strong proficiency in Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
Experience developing and maintaining RESTful APIs.
Good knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL).
Experience with Git, automated testing and CI/CD.
Ability to produce high-quality, maintainable code.
Strong adoption of AI-assisted development tools, particularly Claude Code.
Ability to work independently and deliver with high productivity.
Based in Canada, in the Atlantic or Eastern time zone.
Asset: Snowflake experience.
Intermediate Full-Stack Developer - Ruby on Rails / React (3 positions)
Basic Requirements:
3+ years of professional full-stack development experience.
Strong proficiency in Ruby on Rails for backend development.
Solid experience with React and JavaScript/TypeScript.
Experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs.
Good knowledge of SQL databases.
Experience with Git, automated testing and CI/CD.
Ability to develop clean, maintainable and scalable applications.
Strong adoption of AI-assisted development tools, particularly Claude Code.
Ability to work independently with high quality and productivity.
Based in Canada, in the Atlantic or Eastern time zone.
Asset: Snowflake experience.
Technical Team Lead - Ruby on Rails / React (1 position)
Basic Requirements:
5+ years of software development experience.
Strong hands-on expertise in Ruby on Rails.
Experience leading a small software development team.
Good understanding of React and modern frontend development.
Experience with software architecture, code reviews and technical mentoring.
Strong knowledge of Agile development practices and CI/CD.
Ability to coordinate development activities and ensure delivery quality.
Strong adoption of AI-assisted development tools, particularly Claude Code.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Availability to work in Atlantic or Eastern time zones.
Assets: Snowflake experience and experience managing distributed or nearshore teams.
