Role Description The M&R Marine Container / Container Handling role is a full-time hybrid position based in Mundra, with some flexibility for work from home tasks such as documentation, reporting, and coordination. Day-to-day responsibilities include inspecting marine containers, overseeing maintenance and repair activities, and ensuring containers meet safety and regulatory standards. The role involves coordinating with port officials, shipping lines, and internal teams for efficient container handling, tracking movements, and resolving operational issues. The position also requires maintaining accurate records, preparing periodic reports, and supporting continuous improvement in container management processes. Occasional on-site supervision, shift-based work, and adherence to health, safety, and environmental guidelines are expected.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in Marine Operations and Maritime procedures, including familiarity with port and container yard activities.
Candidates should possess experience or exposure related to Navy or marine service environments, with an understanding of disciplined operational practices.
Candidates should possess knowledge of Boat and vessel-related operations, including basic awareness of ship–shore interface and cargo handling considerations.
Candidates should possess Training capabilities to guide staff on container inspection, safety protocols, and standard operating procedures.
Relevant experience in container maintenance and repair, shipping or logistics operations, or port-based roles is preferred.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, follow safety regulations, and work effectively in outdoor and operational environments.
Strong communication and coordination skills, with proficiency in basic computer applications and documentation.
Diploma or degree in marine engineering, logistics, shipping management, or a related field is beneficial; industry certifications in maritime operations or safety are an advantage.
