Educational Qualifications
BE/ME/B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA/MCM/BCA/MSc, PGDCA, or equivalent degree in a related field.
Roles And Responsibilities
Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
Perform various types of manual testing, including functional, regression, integration, smoke, and sanity testing.
Thoroughly test web applications to ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsive design.
Identify, document, and track defects with precision using tools like JIRA, ensuring clear communication with the development team.
Analyze business requirements to identify gaps, ambiguities, and potential issues before development begins.
Prepare and maintain key QA documentation, including test plans, defect reports, and status reports.
Collaborate closely with developers, project managers, and client stakeholders to ensure quality standards are met throughout the STLC.
Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to debug issues and ensure a high-quality end product.
Minimum Required Skills
Proven hands-on experience in Manual Software Testing for web applications.
Strong knowledge of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Expertise in creating detailed test cases, test scenarios, and managing test data.
Proficiency in defect management and reporting using tools like JIRA.
Experience in functional, regression, integration, smoke, and sanity testing methodologies.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills with a detail-oriented approach.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective team collaboration.
Preferred Skills
Basic knowledge of databases/SQL for backend data validation.
Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman or Swagger.
Exposure to performance and security testing concepts.
Experience with test management tools such as TestRail or QTest.
Basic understanding of automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium) and scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python).
