Summer 2027 Intern - MBA Business Value & Strategic Selling Consultant (Healthcare & Life Sciences)

Role Description
The Business Value Services team at Salesforce is looking for an MBA intern to work with Healthcare and Life Sciences (HLS) customers and sales teams, explaining how digital transformation with Salesforce solutions, including AI, drives business and financial value.
Based in New York, New York, this intern will work closely with HLS Sales and Solution Engineering teams on strategic customer engagements, helping health systems, payers, and life sciences companies evaluate where AI agents can take on administrative work or improve the patient and member experience.
Responsibilities
Facilitate internal and external discovery around customer business roles and processes, including workflows where AI could help, such as patient access, care coordination, and member services
Collaborate with customers and sales teams to identify and prioritize key value drivers, including key performance indicators, showing how Salesforce solutions address business goals
Develop a quantified value model that supports customer business goals and sizes HLS AI use cases, such as agents that handle appointment scheduling, benefits questions, or medical information requests
Account for regulated healthcare requirements in AI business cases, such as protecting patient data under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and keeping clinicians and staff involved in care decisions
Required Qualifications
Currently enrolled in an MBA program with an expected graduation of Spring 2028
5 or more years of professional experience prior to MBA in value consulting, management consulting, or similar analytical roles
Experience building and delivering presentations to senior stakeholders
Experience structuring complex problems and developing data-driven solutions and recommendations
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in the Healthcare and Life Sciences (HLS) industry
Familiarity with financial modeling or business case development
Understanding of how healthcare and life sciences organizations approach responsible AI, including bias, patient safety, and data privacy
Hands-on experience with an AI project, whether at work, in class, or independently
Internship Date:
June to August/September
