Body Shop Technician

Transit Team, Inc.
Location: Maple Grove, MN
Pay Rate: $40.00/hour + Full Benefits
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of body shop experience
Experience with fiberglass repair
Proficient in body panel repair and replacement
Ability to perform paint preparation and finishing work
Experience working on commercial vehicles, buses, or fleet vehicles preferred
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Key Responsibilities
Repair collision and cosmetic damage on school buses and paratransit vehicles
Perform fiberglass repairs and restorations
Replace and repair body panels, skirting, wheel housings, and related components
Prepare vehicles for painting and assist with refinishing activities
Work closely with fleet maintenance staff to minimize vehicle downtime
Maintain a safe and organized work area
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working on school buses, transit buses, or commercial fleet vehicles
Basic fabrication skills
Ability and willingness to train and mentor other employees in body repair techniques
