About The Opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Ruby on Rails Engineer to join our engineering team supporting a global Supply Chain Technology & Circular Economy initiative for one of the world's most recognized consumer technology brands.
In this role, you will play a hands-on part in maintaining, modernizing, and scaling production web applications (Rails 6/7) that orchestrate global asset tracking, reverse logistics routing, and materials recovery pipelines under continuous, zero-downtime production load.

Responsibilities
Develop and maintain core features on high-throughput Ruby on Rails applications.
Participate in application modernization efforts, including gem version upgrades, database optimization (ActiveRecord), and background job tuning (Sidekiq, Redis).
Build and maintain enterprise API integrations connecting internal platforms and external vendors using REST, JSON, ProtoBuf, and RPC.
Work across the full stack, pairing solid backend logic with clean, functional web interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and Bootstrap.
Collaborate within a polyglot microservices ecosystem that interfaces with backend services written in Go (Golang) and hosted on AWS.
Write clean, reliable code with automated test coverage (RSpec, MiniTest) integrated into CI/CD pipelines (CircleCI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
Collaborate daily in English with US-based product and engineering teams.
Required Qualifications
Strong professional software development experience, with deep, hands-on mastery of Ruby on Rails and Ruby core.
Proven experience building and consuming distributed APIs (RESTful, RPC, ProtoBuf, JSON).
Familiarity with web application modernization, version upgrades (e.g., migrating towards Rails 6/7), and performance profiling.
Working experience with frontend basics: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, and jQuery.
Solid automated testing habits with RSpec or MiniTest.
Practical development exposure to Go (Golang) in microservices (Nice-to-Have)
Experience with AWS services (EC2, ECS, RDS, S3).
Exposure to logistics, supply chain, asset management, or ERP systems (Nice-to-Have)
English Proficiency: Fluent / Advanced professional English is mandatory, you must be completely comfortable leading technical discussions, writing documentation, and collaborating with international stakeholders in the US.
Location: Must be permanently based in Brazil.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
