Senior Vision Systems Engineer | Business Trips to Dubai

We are looking for a Senior Vision Systems Engineer to design and optimize high performance computer vision and AI pipelines for consumer devices.
What you will do
• Design and implement real time computer vision and image processing pipelines
• Develop and deploy ML models for visual recognition, image enhancement, tracking and scene understanding
• Optimize AI models for embedded devices, including quantization and pruning
• Develop performance critical algorithms in modern C++
• Integrate AI inference engines on embedded platforms
• Optimize performance across CPU, GPU, NPU and DSP, considering latency, power consumption, memory and thermal constraints
• Collaborate with camera, sensor, ISP and platform teams
• Debug complex system level issues and support product readiness for mass production
• Contribute to code reviews, testing and technical mentoring
Must have
• 7 to 10+ years of experience in computer vision and image processing
• Strong C++ expertise, including performance optimization
• Experience with OpenCV and ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow or ONNX
• Proven experience deploying ML models on embedded or edge devices
• Experience with model optimization techniques, including quantization and pruning
• Strong understanding of 2D/3D geometry and linear algebra
• Experience with embedded Linux or Android
• Strong debugging and performance profiling skills
• Experience optimizing software for power and thermal constraints
• Experience delivering at least one consumer product featuring embedded vision or AI
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field
• English proficiency at C1 level
Nice to have
• Experience with mobile SoCs such as Qualcomm, MediaTek or Exynos
• Knowledge of CUDA, OpenCL, Vulkan, OpenGL ES or SIMD
• Experience with camera calibration, ISP integration or Android Camera HAL
• Knowledge of Yocto based systems, computational photography, AR or video processing
• Experience with multi camera systems and production validation
Location: Romania, 100% remote and business trips to Dubai
Travel requirements: The client is based in Dubai. Business trips to Dubai may be required, with no travel expected until the situation in the Middle East stabilizes and travel is considered completely safe. The anticipated travel pattern is 2 to 3 months in Dubai, followed by 1 to 2 weeks at home, for approximately 9 to 10 months of travel in total. The role can also be performed fully remotely.
