Technology Engineer, Principal

Job Summary
The Technology Engineer, Principal provides enterprise-wide technical leadership and strategic direction for technology engineering initiatives. This role guides modernization efforts, establishes engineering best practices, and helps ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with long-term business strategy. The Technology Engineer, Principal influences architectural standards and drives innovation across multiple systems and services.
Essential Functions
Provides technical leadership for enterprise technology strategy, governance, and architecture alignment.
Leads the design and implementation of cross-platform integrations and modernization initiatives.
Defines engineering standards, frameworks, and automation practices to improve operational efficiency.
Partners with senior information technology and business leaders to prioritize and deliver strategic technology initiatives.
Mentors engineers across teams and promotes continuous improvement and technical excellence.
Evaluates emerging technologies to inform future-state architecture and roadmap decisions.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
Complies with all policies and standards.
Qualifications
Extensive hands-on experience designing, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise VMware environments with proven ability to support legacy versions as well as modern release upgrades, preferred.
Deep technical expertise in configuring, deploying, and managing enterprise-grade Dell hardware, server operating systems, and underlying physical infrastructure at scale, preferred.
Practical experience implementing and administering Nutanix solutions to support high-density virtualization and streamline cross-domain infrastructure projects, preferred.
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; or the equivalent required
More than 10 years of experience in technology engineering, information technology solution development, or a related field required
