Essential Requirements:
BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or similar field with 15+ yrs experience
Strong aptitude to assess and optimize products by making the proper feature tradeoffs between mechanical, electrical, power, thermal, firmware, and BIOS
Must have excellent working knowledge of engineering design principles with specific expertise in the areas of large-scale production, sheet metal, injection molding, electrical interconnects, heat extraction, and vibration
Must have extensive experience with 3D CAD systems, ability to create basic concept models, interrogate production development models, and convey ideas through CAD with strong aptitude for interpretation of mechanical simulations, design, test, and qualification requirements
Desirable Requirements:
Typically requires 18+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor's degree; or 12+ years and a Master's degree; or 8+ years and a PhD; or equivalent experience
Record of publications, patents, or standards participation
Compensation
Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this position is $229,500 - $297,000.
