For over 40 years, our principled approach to problem-solving has yielded creative solutions at the intersection of advanced mathematics, computer science, physics, and engineering. Contribute to intuitive GUI/frontend applications and visualizations that make complex technical information understandable and useful.
Collaborate directly with research scientists, engineers, project managers, operators, and customers to understand technical and operational needs.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, applied mathematics, engineering, or a related technical field
At least 3 years of professional software development experience building applications or production software systems
Strong foundation in object-oriented design and software development, with experience in Java, C++, or C#
Experience developing applications, services, or APIs, along with experience contributing to GUI/frontend application development
Strong engineering fundamentals, sound technical judgment, and the ability to collaborate effectively with researchers, engineers, and end users
U.S. CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED; successful candidates will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
Desired Qualifications
Active SECRET security clearance
Experience writing high-performance, multi-threaded (parallel/concurrent) software
Experience developing high-quality software in an environment where readability, maintainability, testing, and disciplined engineering practices are valued

Experience with TypeScript and React or other modern frontend development frameworks
Experience using Python, particularly for scientific computing, data processing, modeling and simulation, or transitioning research software into operational applications.
Experience with data-intensive or distributed systems, including databases, messaging systems, and asynchronous processing
