We're seeking a Backend Engineer to build and maintain the services powering survey matching, payments, and user management. You'll work on distributed systems handling millions of daily transactions across our platform.
Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services in Node.js and Go
Build and optimize APIs that power our web and mobile applications
Work on our real-time survey matching and recommendation engine
Implement payment processing integrations (PayPal, bank transfers, gift cards)
Ensure system reliability with monitoring, alerting, and on-call practices
Contribute to architecture decisions and technical roadmaps
Requirements
4+ years of backend development experience
Strong proficiency in Node.js (TypeScript) and/or Go
Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and message queues (Kafka, SQS)
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Understanding of distributed systems and microservice architecture
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to reliability
Nice to Have
Experience with payment systems or fintech
Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
Knowledge of data privacy best practices
