I. Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Management Director to oversee the planning, execution, delivery, and continuous optimization of the company’s cryptocurrency and blockchain-related projects. This role requires exceptional strategic planning, project management, and cross-functional coordination skills, along with a strong sense of risk control. The successful candidate will be capable of driving multiple complex projects simultaneously, ensuring that project objectives remain aligned with the company’s overall business strategy.
The ideal candidate should possess over 20 years of management experience and be well-versed in the full lifecycle management of large-scale projects. They must be able to develop effective project management strategies within the rapidly evolving cryptocurrency market, while fostering technical innovation, business expansion, and operational efficiency.
II. Key Responsibilities
Project Strategy and Planning: Define the company’s overarching project management strategy, annual project plans, and implementation roadmaps, ensuring alignment with long-term corporate development goals.
Full Lifecycle Project Management: Oversee the entire project lifecycle—from initiation and requirements analysis to resource planning, scheduling, execution, quality control, and final delivery—ensuring projects are completed as planned.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Orchestrate collaboration across departments such as Product, Technology, R&D, Marketing, Compliance, Finance, and Operations; establish efficient communication mechanisms to resolve critical issues during project execution.
Blockchain Project Management: Supervise the implementation of blockchain platform development, digital asset trading systems, crypto wallets, smart contracts, payment solutions, and other related technical initiatives.
Project Risk Management: Identify and assess potential risks—including technical, operational, budgetary, scheduling, and compliance-related risks—and develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
Budget and Resource Management: Manage project budgeting, cost control, human resource coordination, and the allocation of technical resources to maximize resource utilization and ensure projects are completed within budget.
Process and Framework Development: Establish and continuously optimize project management standards, workflows, performance evaluation systems, and reporting mechanisms to enhance the organization’s overall project delivery capabilities.
Project Performance Evaluation: Define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for projects; regularly assess progress, delivery quality, cost-effectiveness, and business outcomes, and adjust implementation strategies based on these evaluations. Supplier and Partner Management: Oversee project execution by external technology vendors, consulting firms, and business partners, ensuring that deliverables meet contractual requirements and company standards.
Technology and Market Alignment: Monitor trends in blockchain technology, digital asset infrastructure, and the cryptocurrency industry, translating market shifts and technological innovations into actionable project plans.
Team Building and Management: Build and lead a high-performing project management team; mentor project managers and relevant staff to enhance the team’s execution capabilities, collaboration, and professional expertise.
Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Drive the adoption of project management tools, automated processes, and data analytics methods to continuously improve project delivery efficiency and organizational management standards.
III. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Project Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
Over 20 years of management experience, with a background in large-scale enterprises, fintech, financial services, internet technology, or the blockchain industry.
Extensive experience in managing large, complex projects; capable of overseeing multiple projects simultaneously while effectively managing scope, schedules, budgets, quality, and risks.
Familiarity with cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, digital asset trading platforms, smart contracts, or business processes within the fintech sector.
Proficiency in established project management methodologies and frameworks (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall), with the ability to apply them flexibly based on specific business needs.
Strong strategic thinking, organizational planning, decision-making, and complex problem-solving skills.
Excellent cross-departmental communication, team leadership, resource coordination, and stakeholder management capabilities.
Proficiency in project management and data analytics tools; able to utilize project management systems to track progress, identify bottlenecks, and drive execution.
Strong competence in budget management, cost control, contract management, and risk assessment.
Ability to thrive in the fast-paced, rapidly evolving cryptocurrency industry; possesses a strong sense of responsibility, a drive for execution, and a results-oriented mindset.
Excellent written communication, business correspondence, and reporting skills; experience managing international teams or the ability to work in an English-language environment is preferred.
Professional certifications such as PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, or other relevant credentials are a plus. IV. Core Competency Requirements
