Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Frontend Developer at Outcome School. The Frontend Developer will build, maintain, and optimize user-facing web interfaces for learning platforms, dashboards, and related tools. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing responsive UI components, collaborating with designers and product team members, integrating frontend features with backend services, and ensuring accessibility and performance across devices and browsers. The role also involves troubleshooting and debugging issues, writing clean and maintainable code, contributing to documentation, and participating in code reviews to support a high-quality learner experience. The Frontend Developer will work closely with engineering and curriculum teams to align technical solutions with learner and stakeholder needs.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Front-End Development skills, including modern JavaScript frameworks, HTML, and CSS.
Candidates should possess Responsive Web Design skills to create accessible, mobile-friendly interfaces.
Candidates should possess Web Development and Software Development fundamentals, including version control and testing practices.
Candidates should possess a basic understanding of Back-End Web Development to collaborate effectively on APIs and integrations.
Experience with UI/UX collaboration, accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG), and performance optimization is beneficial.
Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work independently in a remote environment are required.
Experience in edtech, workforce development, or mission-driven organizations, and familiarity with agile methodologies, is a plus.
A relevant degree or equivalent practical experience in web development, computer science, or related field is preferred.
