Role Description The Rebar Detailer role at MK Rebar Services is a full-time on-site position based in Salem. In this role, the Rebar Detailer prepares detailed reinforcement drawings and bar lists from structural and architectural plans, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant codes and standards. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting contract documents, coordinating with engineers and project managers, updating shop drawings based on revisions, and resolving drawing-related queries from fabrication and site teams. The Rebar Detailer also checks drawings for clashes and constructability, maintains organized project documentation, and supports estimation activities by providing accurate quantities and take-offs.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Shop Drawings and Steel Detailing.
Candidates should possess strong knowledge of Rebar and Steel Structures.
Candidates should possess strong skills in reading and interpreting Architectural Drawings.
Proficiency in CAD or detailing software (e.g., AutoCAD, specialized rebar detailing tools) is highly beneficial.
Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is preferred.
Attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and the ability to meet project deadlines.
Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with design, fabrication, and site teams.
Previous experience in rebar or structural steel detailing will be considered an advantage.
