Role Description The Housekeeping Associate is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and orderliness across guest rooms, corridors, and public areas. Day-to-day tasks include making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting and vacuuming, replenishing amenities, and handling laundry items according to hotel standards. The role also involves responding to guest requests, reporting maintenance issues, and ensuring safety and sanitation guidelines are followed at all times. This is a full-time, on-site role based at Raj Park Hotels in Chennai, requiring collaboration with the housekeeping and front office teams to support a consistently high guest experience.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong laundry skills, including handling, sorting, and caring for linens and guest clothing.
Candidates should possess effective communication and customer service skills to interact professionally with guests and team members.
Candidates should possess solid organization skills to manage cleaning schedules, supplies, and room priorities efficiently.
Candidates should possess the ability to receive and apply training on housekeeping procedures, safety protocols, and hotel standards.
Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene in guest rooms and public areas.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods, and to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Previous experience in housekeeping or hospitality is preferred but not mandatory.
Basic understanding of housekeeping equipment and cleaning products, with adherence to health and safety guidelines.
