Finance Specialist (1 Year Contract)

We are seeking an experienced financial and accounting professional to join our Financial Management team. In this pivotal role, you will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing expertise and support for finance-related projects.
Additional responsibilities include providing support to the regional finance team on reporting matters.
1. Collaboration and Alignment:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including the Finance Projects Team, Front Office, Operations, and IT, to ensure finance-related project goals align with the organization’s strategic objectives.
2. Project Management:
Assist in the implementation of Core Banking System modification, General Ledger (GL) upgrade and finance process optimization/automation.
Participate in initiatives that support Front Office business objectives and enhance operational efficiency.
3. Documentation and Reporting:
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation throughout the project lifecycle, including business requirements, user acceptance test scenarios/cases, business process workflows, and project timelines.
4. Risk Management
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, developing appropriate strategies to address potential challenges and ensuring project continuity.
5. Support and Reporting:
Provide support to the Regional Finance Management (FM) team in all financial, regulatory and statutory reporting requirements, including responding to auditors requests
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or a related field
4+ years of experience in accounting or finance with a strong background in financial systems and project implementation
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate project challenges
Experiences in efficiency automation projects
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
