ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
Reporting to the GM/SSE, the Mine Accountant will support site operations through accurate financial reporting, month-end processes, budgeting and forecasting.
Working closely with operational leaders, you’ll monitor costs and expenditure, analyse financial performance, review capital requests and provide financial insights to support informed decision-making. You’ll also support audits, ensure financial compliance and identify opportunities to improve reporting and cost management processes.
ABOUT YOU
Experience in site or management accounting, preferably within the mining industry.
Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost control and variance analysis.
Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial reporting systems.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
High level of accuracy, attention to detail and accountability.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with operational teams.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
Proactive approach to continuous improvement and cost efficiency.
Self-motivated, adaptable and committed to achieving business objectives.
