Position: Jr./Sr. BIM Design Engineer
Experience: 2 to 6 years
We are seeking a skilled Structural 3D design Engineer with 2 to 6 years of experience, preferably with expertise in RAN design and wireless telecom site planning. Good to have knowledge in technology upgradation like 4G and 5G technologies. Strong knowledge in 3D Revit 2026 with structural BIM modelling and AutoCAD (2D/3D drawing & annotations).
Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering / mechanical engineering / Structural Engineering.
Software skills: -
Mandatory: Revit 2026 – Building information modeling (BIM), AutoCAD, Navisworks / Solibri (optional)
Requirements & Responsibilities: -
Study and analyze all inputs from client to prepare & include Structure information, Antenna details, Shelter information, Mount/strengthening structural drawing, Fabrication drawing, Lease area details and Technologies.
Convert existing CAD-based rooftop site (RTT) & Ground based site (GBT) drawings into BIM models using Autodesk Revit 2026.
Follow SOW to develop and maintain Construction drawings, structural drawings, building drawings, and detailed 2D/3D models using AutoCAD & Autodesk Revit in BIM formats. Model all required site components according to the MSD structure.
Adapt to different operator standards and prepare detailed drawing plans (preliminary, detailed design & As-builts) for telecom structures & buildings into BIM models using Autodesk Revit 2026. Apply the required geometric Level of Geometry (LOG) and information attributes (LOI).
Prepare plans of site access, Site layout, Antenna layout, Site elevation, Equipment Room/Cabinet Layout/elevation, Ancillaries configuration details and Electrical details as per client standards and design into Autodesk Revit in BIM formats.
Produce high-quality structural drawing for Tower/Monopole, Shelters/ODU's, Strengthening, Foundation Strengthening, Antenna/Dish/RRU Mount of wireless, telecom cell sites based on the design document, Survey information and Photos in Autodesk Revit in BIM formats.
Quality audit existing photos, old site survey reports and hand sketch the drawing to match latest photos. Export into IFC format using client approved export settings.
Perform quality checks (QC) on BIM models for accuracy and completeness. Generate construction documentation and extract quantities for BOQ preparation. Generate and involve in clash detection reviews using Navisworks.
Collaborate with structural & design engineers and project teams to resolve design clashes and constructability issues.
Prepare BOM (Bill of Materials) and technical documentation for production.
Conduct design reviews and implement feedback for continuous improvement.
Deliver documentation in DWG, PDF formats, Excel & BIM formats and maintain version control with proper documentation of all files.
Understand 2G/3G/4G & 5G concepts and interpret the RAN equipment’s from reports & photos.
Ensure models comply with BIM Execution Plans (BEP), project standards, and industry codes. Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and contractors to resolve design clashes using clash detection tools.
Assist in implementing BIM workflows and training team members on BIM standards.
Knowledge / Skills
Good to have fair understanding of Telecom network mainly on Cell sites structures.
Good knowledge of Autodesk Revit & AutoCAD with 3D drawings of telecom sites (Structural drawings of telecom structure, floor plans, Site layout, Site elevation, etc.).
Strong Knowledge in Mounting standards, Member connections, Bolts, Brackets etc.
Good to have knowledge in technological upgradation like 4G and 5G technology.
Proficiency in both German & English.
Hands on experience and exposure to Nokia, Huawei and Ericsson wireless platforms.
