Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Public Relations Consultant role based in Bengaluru. The Public Relations Consultant will develop and implement PR strategies for clients, including startups and high-growth companies, to build and protect their brand reputation. Daily activities include drafting press releases and media materials, managing media outreach, coordinating interviews, and tracking coverage. The role involves advising clients on communication approaches, preparing talking points and briefing documents, and supporting corporate and internal communication initiatives. The consultant will collaborate with cross-functional teams, maintain strong relationships with journalists and influencers, and monitor industry trends to identify proactive PR opportunities.
Job Description (PR Consultant / Sr. Consultant)
· Develop and implement PR strategies that align with the client's goals and objectives.
· Supervise a team of executives to ensure the smooth functioning of routine activities like industry trackers, weekly progress reports, monthly reports, pitch notes, press releases, authored articles and briefing documents.
· Lead accounts single-handedly and work closely with Account Directors on key requirements.
· Maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and industry influencers to ensure positive coverage and maximize brand exposure.
· Monitor and analyze media coverage, industry trends, and competitor activities to identify potential risks and opportunities, and develop appropriate response strategies.
· Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, emerging trends, and technological advancements to continuously improve public relations strategies and tactics.
Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Business Management or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
· Proven work experience (5-10 years) as a PR Manager/ Sr. Manager, preferably with experience in handling startups and tech businesses.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages tailored to different audiences.
· Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
· Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset.
· Familiarity with digital marketing and social media platforms to integrate PR efforts with broader marketing strategies.
