Role Description The Carpet Merchandiser is a full-time, on-site role based in Bhadohi. This position involves managing carpet product assortments, coordinating with production teams, and ensuring that designs, colors, and qualities align with buyer requirements and market trends. Daily tasks include preparing product presentations, maintaining sample collections, updating product catalogs, and supporting sales teams with accurate product information. The role also includes regular communication with customers and vendors, handling inquiries, tracking orders, and assisting in pricing and negotiation within defined guidelines. The Carpet Merchandiser works closely with marketing and retail partners to support merchandising displays and promotional activities that drive sales performance.
Qualifications
Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to interact effectively with buyers, vendors, and internal teams.
Sales and Retail experience to support product positioning, order follow-ups, and store or showroom merchandising.
Basic Marketing knowledge to assist in product promotions, visual displays, and market trend analysis.
Attention to detail and organizational skills for managing samples, catalogs, and product data accurately.
Ability to understand carpet designs, materials, and construction; prior experience in textiles or floor coverings is an advantage.
Proficiency with MS Office and digital tools for reporting, presentations, and communication.
Capability to work on-site in Bhadohi and collaborate in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Relevant diploma or degree in business, textiles, marketing, or a related field preferred.
