About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Mid-Level Documenter to support the delivery of technical documentation across multiple construction projects.
Working under the guidance of a Senior Documenter or BIM Manager, you will develop and produce technical documentation in Revit, progressing towards greater independence in managing documentation tasks from initial instruction through to completion.
You will be involved throughout the documentation lifecycle, from project setup and construction pack preparation to final As-Built documentation. The role also offers opportunities to strengthen your understanding of Australian construction standards, including the National Construction Code (NCC), and buildability requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Documentation
Produce accurate technical documentation and drawings in Revit based on instructions from the Design Excellence Coordinator or relevant senior team members.
Support documentation requirements across multiple projects, ensuring deliverables are completed to the required standards and timelines.
Contribute to all stages of the documentation lifecycle, including project setup, construction pack preparation and final As-Built documentation.
Ensure drawings communicate design intent, buildability and technical details clearly.
Quality Assurance & Revisions
Review and check your own documentation for accuracy and completeness before submitting it for quality assurance (QA) review.
Revise drawings and documentation in response to QA feedback and review comments.
Ensure updates are accurately incorporated and documentation remains consistent throughout the project lifecycle.
Standards & Continuous Development
Apply relevant construction documentation standards and develop an understanding of Australian construction requirements, including the NCC and applicable Australian Standards.
Work under the guidance of a Senior Documenter or BIM Manager while progressively taking greater ownership of assigned documentation tasks.
Communicate clearly with relevant team members to clarify instructions, resolve documentation issues and ensure deliverables meet project requirements.
Skills & Experience:
Experience in a technical documentation role within the construction, building or related industry.
Working proficiency in Revit and the ability to produce technical drawings and documentation.
Understanding of construction documentation processes, including construction packs and As-Built documentation.
Good attention to detail and the ability to review drawings for accuracy, completeness and consistency.
Ability to interpret instructions and translate them into clear, buildable technical documentation.
Willingness to learn and apply relevant construction standards, documentation procedures and QA feedback.
Good communication, organization and time management skills, with the ability to support multiple projects and meet deadlines.
