Head of Robotics Hardware (Co-founder)

What you’ll do
Lead the first-generation prototype from component selection and integration through debugging to a working demo
Own the system architecture: base, lift column, 6-axis arm, gripper, power and sensors
Work with the Shenzhen supply chain on the base, arm, cameras and structural parts, and keep BOM cost under control
Plan the path from prototype to small-batch and mass production (EVT/DVT/PVT), including product safety and radio certifications
Build and lead the early hardware and robotics software team
What we’re looking for
5+ years in consumer hardware R&D, with at least one product taken from prototype to mass production
Strong mechatronics integration: motor drives, batteries and BMS, mechanical structure and thermal design, safety design
Familiarity with the Shenzhen supply chain and the ability to negotiate BOM, yield and lead times yourself
Willing to join full-time as a co-founder and take part of your compensation in equity
Nice to have
Experience with robot vacuums, service robots or mobile manipulation (a mobile base plus an arm)
Hands-on ROS 2 experience and exposure to arm motion planning
Able to work in English
