Role Description
As a Software Developer, you will contribute to the development and expansion of internal GRC technology, automation, and assurance capabilities. You will work directly with compliance practitioners to transform manual processes into secure, scalable, and maintainable technical solutions.
You will develop modern web applications, secure APIs, automated workflows, and enterprise integrations supporting IT controls, audit operations, evidence collection, and compliance reporting.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, modern web development, and REST APIs. Experience in cloud infrastructure, application security, workflow automation, or AI integration is an advantage. Prior GRC or compliance experience is helpful but not required.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and enhance applications supporting compliance, assurance, audit, obligations, and reporting workflows.
Build automation solutions to reduce manual SOX, ITGC, audit, evidence collection, validation, and reconciliation activities.
Develop and maintain secure integrations with enterprise platforms and business systems.
Design and implement secure APIs, data pipelines, and automation using modern programming languages and cloud services.
Build intuitive, user-friendly web applications using React or similar frameworks.
Expand automated evidence collection, validation, reconciliation, and testing capabilities.
Design reusable solutions that support multiple controls, systems, and compliance frameworks.
Contribute to cloud infrastructure and deployment automation using Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD practices.
Implement appropriate authentication, secrets management, logging, monitoring, testing, and least-privilege access controls.
Collaborate with GRC practitioners to translate business and compliance requirements into technical specifications and working solutions.
Troubleshoot application issues and improve system reliability, performance, security, and usability.
Contribute to technical documentation, architecture decisions, code reviews, and development standards.
Explore responsible AI and LLM integrations to improve compliance analysis, evidence review, and workflow automation.
Follow established software development lifecycle practices, including development, testing, code review, and deployment.
Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
3+ years of professional software development experience.
Strong experience with Python and TypeScript/JavaScript.
Experience developing modern web applications using React or similar frameworks.
Experience designing, developing, and consuming REST APIs and working with JSON-based data.
Proficiency in Git-based development workflows, including version control, pull requests, and code reviews.
Understanding of software development lifecycle practices, testing, and deployment processes.
Ability to translate business requirements into secure, maintainable, and scalable technical solutions.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to collaborate with non-technical stakeholders and translate operational challenges into practical software solutions.
Experience with AWS or a comparable cloud platform is preferred.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation is preferred.
Familiarity with Python web frameworks, browser automation, or workflow automation is preferred.
Experience with enterprise API integrations, data transformation, or data pipeline development is preferred.
Knowledge of application security and secure software development practices is preferred.
Experience integrating AI/LLM capabilities using enterprise AI services or comparable technologies is preferred.
Familiarity with observability, logging, and application monitoring is preferred.
Experience in SOX, ITGC, audit, cybersecurity, risk management, or GRC technology is an advantage.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.

Strong proficiency in Python and TypeScript/JavaScript.

Ability to develop secure, maintainable applications and automation solutions.
Comfortable collaborating with GRC practitioners and translating business requirements into technical deliverables.
Willingness to learn GRC, SOX, IT controls, audit, and compliance concepts.
Must be based in Tamil Nadu, India, and legally authorized to work in India.
Must be available to work remotely on a full-time schedule, 40 hours per week, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST.
