The Role:
We are looking for a Full-Stack Engineer who builds like an owner. You will take features from business need to production, including new modules, AI capabilities, automation, and internal tools, across frontend, backend, database, and cloud. You will work closely with your Product Owner and with our tech leadership.
This is not a ticket-taking role. We expect you to question designs or tech decisions, suggest better approaches, and help shape the product.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Build and Own Features End to End
Turn business needs into sound technical structures, build them, release them and own the architecture and code quality of your work.
Maintain and improve existing modules that you and your squad own.
2) Build AI into the Product
Find where AI genuinely improves the product for our clients and communities, and build it: RAG, large-data profiling systems, and more.
Know when AI is the wrong tool, and say so.
3) Integrate and Automate
Work with our 50+ external integrations (payment gateways, email providers, WhatsApp messaging, CRM tools, clients' internal tools) and 20+ infrastructure-level integrations on AWS, and add new ones quickly as needs arise.
Build automation and internal tools that make the team and our clients faster.
4) Engineer for Scale and Security
Build for 2,000+ institutes and 1 crore+ users: failure handling, performance, security, and monitoring are part of the job, not extras.
Notice what a requirements document leaves out and raise it before you build.
5) Improve What Exists
Suggest better alternatives, challenge weak designs, and take part in product and technical decisions.
Grow into mentoring junior developers and leading technical direction for your squad.
What We're Looking for:
Must-Have:
1-2 years of experience building and shipping real software.
Hands-on skills in React, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript on the frontend, and in Node.js or Python on the backend with relational and non-relational databases.
Hands-on experience building with AI beyond calling an LLM API, for example a RAG pipeline (embeddings, vector search, chunking, evaluation) or a large-data profiling system.
Strong fundamentals: coding basics, data structures, frontend and backend, databases, and web technologies.
Very good debugging: you find root causes, not only symptoms.
Practical learning: you pick up new frameworks, APIs, and cloud services by building, rather then just following tutorials or courses.
Evidence of initiative: something you built or improved that nobody asked you to, in a job, freelance work, a side project, or open source, and a clear reason why you did it.
The ability to explain your decisions and the alternatives you considered.
An understanding of what changes when software serves lakhs of users: failure handling, performance, and security.
Good to Have:
Experience with AWS services such as EC2, RDS, SES, SNS, SQS, DynamoDB, Lambda, etc.
Experience integrating third-party systems: payment gateways, messaging platforms, CRM tools.
Judgment about which AI features are worth building for a product, and how to shape them with a Product Owner.
Familiarity with AngularJS, PHP (CodeIgniter), FastAPI, or Cordova.
GitHub repositories, personal projects, or scripts that show your coding habits.
Growth Path:
We hire engineers who want to lead. Here is the path we expect you to take.
First 3 months: get productive in our stack and deliver your first impactful projects. You start owning the architecture and code quality of your own work in your first quarter.
By 6 months: full ownership of your own architecture and code, shipping projects at a steady pace.
By 12 months: you own your squad's architecture and code quality, not only your own. You mentor junior developers, suggest new initiatives, and work closely with your Product Owner.
1-2 years: you grow into the tech lead of a squad, including new squads as we grow.
