Work Location - Bengaluru
We are looking for a Senior Workday Functional Consultant to join our People Systems practice supporting the GRAB account under the APMEA SMU. This is a hybrid role in Bengaluru, working a regular Monday–Friday shift with 3 days per week in office.
In this role, you will serve as the subject matter expert for Core HCM and related Workday modules, partnering with senior stakeholders to solve system and process challenges and delivering scalable, effective People Systems solutions across a complex, global organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Own the functional design and hands-on configuration of Core HCM, including business processes, organisational and job structures, worker data, security, reporting, and downstream integration impacts.
Lead major enhancements and release changes end-to-end — from discovery and fit-gap analysis through design, configuration, SIT, UAT, deployment, and post-go-live stabilisation.
Lead M&A solution architecture conversations by assessing source HR systems, defining harmonisation and data-mapping approaches, identifying security and integration dependencies, and planning cutover and operational readiness.
Use a systemic tenant perspective to diagnose recurring issues, configuration debt, process bottlenecks, and control gaps, then drive practical remediation with clear root causes, risks, and owners.
Build dependable partnerships with senior stakeholders, internal delivery teams, and vendors by setting clear expectations and translating technical details into actionable decisions.
Leverage AI tools and emerging technologies responsibly for research, analysis, documentation, and workflow improvement while maintaining data privacy and governance standards.
Serve as the subject matter expert for Core HCM processes and solutions across the engagement.

Deep Core HCM expertise including Workday business process architecture, data structures, organisational and job frameworks, security domains, reporting, EIB, integrations, testing, and release management.
Hands-on experience in at least two additional Workday modules such as Compensation, Advanced Compensation, Absence, Time Tracking, Peakon, Recruiting, Talent, Learning, or Journeys.
Experience in solution architecture, fit-gap analysis, data and process harmonisation, cutover planning, and assessing downstream impacts during M&A or enterprise HR technology programmes.
Ability to lead stakeholder discussions, make clear recommendations under ambiguity, and build credibility through accurate analysis and dependable execution.
Experience engaging with AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance productivity and improve workflows.
