As a Senior Commercial Underwriter, you will evaluate complex commercial credit applications, assess borrower financial strength, and make informed lending recommendations that support a healthy commercial loan portfolio. You will analyze commercial real estate, commercial and industrial (C&I), and construction transactions while ensuring compliance with established credit policies and underwriting standards. Working closely with relationship managers, legal counsel, commercial lending teams, and other stakeholders, you will help structure sound credit decisions and manage loan files from initial review through closing. You will also contribute to portfolio risk management, audit readiness, policy development, and the continuous improvement of underwriting practices. In this senior role, you will have opportunities to mentor colleagues, handle sophisticated transactions, and influence credit risk decisions.
