Financial Controller – Maternity Leave Replacement

Solitics, a cutting-edge data management and automation platform, is seeking an experienced Financial Controller for a maternity leave replacement. This is a broad, hands-on, and independent role within the Finance team, with responsibility for day-to-day financial operations, monthly reporting, cross-functional collaboration, and period-end closing processes.
Key Responsibilities
Manage payments, collections, customer invoicing, and ongoing communication with customers and vendors.
Coordinate and maintain effective financial processes between the Finance and Customer Success teams.
Manage the company’s corporate credit cards and related controls.
Support selected payroll-related activities and coordinate with relevant stakeholders.
Prepare and update the monthly budget-versus-actual analysis.
Own the monthly book-closing process, including preparation of the consolidated financial report.
Prepare monthly reporting to the bank and update monthly KPI files.
Work closely with the company’s bookkeeper and oversee ongoing accounting activities.
Prepare and close the annual reporting package and work independently with the external audit team.
Qualifications:
Hands-on experience with NetSuite – required.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA qualification is required.
Relevant experience in a financial controller or assistant controller role, preferably in a technology company.
Strong understanding of accounting processes, monthly close, consolidated reporting, budgeting, and cash-flow management.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain strong attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a service-oriented approach to internal and external stakeholders.
Fluent English, both written and spoken.
