Role Description The Art Assistant role at Genesis Creations House is a remote contract position supporting the creative team with day-to-day artistic and design tasks. Responsibilities include assisting with graphic design projects, preparing and editing images for digital and print use, and helping develop visual concepts under the guidance of art direction. The Art Assistant will organize and maintain digital asset libraries, follow established brand and style guidelines, and collaborate with artists and other team members to ensure visual consistency across projects. The role also involves providing clear communication on project status, meeting deadlines, and adapting to feedback to refine artwork and design deliverables.
Qualifications
Strong visual arts foundation, including experience with Art and a keen eye for composition, color, and detail.
Proficiency in Image Editing tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom or equivalent) and basic Graphic Design skills for digital and print assets.
Ability to support Art Direction by interpreting creative briefs, following style guidelines, and executing visual concepts accurately.
Effective Communication skills, including the ability to collaborate remotely, respond constructively to feedback, and clearly document project updates.
Comfort working in a remote contract setting with reliable time management, self-organization, and adherence to deadlines.
Familiarity with digital asset management and file organization best practices.
Relevant coursework, training, or portfolio demonstrating art and design capabilities; formal education in art, design, or a related field is beneficial but not required.
Experience with additional design or illustration tools (e.g., Illustrator, Procreate, or similar) is a plus.
