Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced **Senior DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)** to design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with DevOps automation, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerization, Kubernetes, cloud monitoring, and production deployments on GCP.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Build, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or Cloud Build.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Terraform and other IaC tools.
- Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes, particularly Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and troubleshooting solutions using Google Cloud Operations Suite (Cloud Monitoring and Cloud Logging).
- Manage GCP services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC, IAM, Cloud Load Balancing, Cloud DNS, and Cloud SQL.
- Implement cloud security best practices, including IAM policies, service accounts, secrets management, and network security.
- Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with development, QA, security, and architecture teams to streamline software delivery and improve deployment processes.
- Troubleshoot production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
- Develop automation scripts using Python, Bash, or Shell scripting.
- Support disaster recovery, backup strategies, high availability, and business continuity initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Infrastructure Engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with **Google Cloud Platform (GCP)**.
- Expertise in **CI/CD pipeline development and automation**.
- Strong experience with **Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)**.
- Hands-on experience with **Docker, Kubernetes, and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)**.
- Proficiency in Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or Google Cloud Build.
- Good understanding of GCP networking, IAM, security, and cloud architecture.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, or Shell scripting.
- Experience with Git and version control systems.
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and production support skills.
- Understanding of Linux administration, networking, DNS, load balancing, and security fundamentals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Google Cloud certifications such as Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer or Professional Cloud Architect.
- Experience implementing SRE practices, SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
- Knowledge of GitOps tools such as Argo CD or Flux.
- Experience with service mesh technologies such as Istio.
- Exposure to cloud cost optimization, FinOps, and automated compliance.
- Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
