SENIOR SOLICITOR | REAL ESTATE & LEGAL STRATEGY

MPM Group, a Hyderabad based real estate development company, is seeking an exceptionally experienced legal professional to head its legal function and serve as Principal Counsel to the Chairman & Managing Director.
This is a senior strategic position for a distinguished legal professional with deep expertise in real estate transactions, property law, litigation strategy and complex legal documentation. This is a full-time, advisory and strategic role at our Hyderabad corporate office. Court appearances remain with external counsel.
Retired judges and highly experienced legal professionals with a strong background in real estate and property law are particularly encouraged to apply.*
THE ROLE
Real Estate Transactions & Legal Documentation
Structure and negotiate land acquisitions, Joint Development Agreements, development cum GPA arrangements and revenue sharing agreements.
Draft and vet Sale Deeds, Agreements of Sale, GPAs, lease deeds, RERA compliant buyer agreements and project financing documents.
Lead legal negotiations with landowners, investors, lenders and buyers.
Title Due Diligence & Risk Assessment
Conduct comprehensive 30-year title searches and chain of title verification.
Examine Encumbrance Certificates, Pahani, ROR, Sethwar and Bhu Bharati records.
Identify and assess legal risks involving assigned lands, Inam lands, land ceiling restrictions, endowment properties and prohibited lands.
Provide robust title opinions suitable for institutional financing and investor due diligence.
Regulatory & Revenue Matters
Advise on land mutation, conversion under NALA, stamp duty and registration.
Guide compliance with Telangana RERA and applicable HMDA and GHMC regulations.
Litigation Strategy & Legal Advisory
Develop legal strategies for property disputes, title suits, writ petitions, arbitration and RERA proceedings.
Brief and supervise external advocates and review pleadings before filing.
Undertake legal research and provide strategic opinions on complex matters.
Legal Leadership & Governance
Establish and lead an effective in house legal function.
Develop standardized legal documentation, review protocols and matter tracking systems.
Leverage AI and legal technology to improve the efficiency and quality of legal drafting, research and review.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
15+ years of relevant experience in real estate and property law, including at least five years in a leadership role.
Experience with a real estate developer, reputed law firm or institutional legal panel.
Strong command of property transactions, litigation strategy, title verification and legal drafting.
LL.B. from a recognized university. LL.M. preferred.
Fluency in English and Telugu.
Distinguished legal professionals with substantial judicial or advisory experience and a strong understanding of real estate law are encouraged to apply.
Compensation will be commensurate with experience and seniority. For the right candidate, compensation will not be a constraint.
