Solution Architect | Senior Solution Architect | Principal Solution Architect
Location: Remote UK-based role with occasional travel to customer sites
Salary: £65,000 - £120,000 depending on level and experience
Candidates must be eligible and willing to undergo BPSS, SC and DV vetting processes
We are partnered with a specialist technology organisation that delivers secure, mission-critical solutions to some of the UK's most complex and highly regulated environments. Their work supports organisations operating across national security, defence, government and critical infrastructure.
Due to continued growth and project demand, they are looking to hire Solution Architects at multiple levels, including Solution Architect, Senior Solution Architect and Principal Solution Architect.
The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to work on complex programmes where security, resilience and reliability are paramount. You'll play a key role in shaping end-to-end technology solutions, working with customers, engineers, cyber specialists and delivery teams to design systems that solve real-world operational challenges.
The work spans a broad range of technologies including:
Secure information exchange
Systems integration
Cloud and hybrid infrastructure
Cyber security and information assurance
Enterprise platforms
Data integration and interoperability
High-assurance digital solutions
Defence and government technology programmes
What You'll Be Doing
As a Solution Architect, you will be responsible for translating business, operational and technical requirements into practical and secure technology solutions.
Your responsibilities will include:
Developing end-to-end solution architectures
Producing High-Level Designs, technical specifications and architecture documentation
Defining system interfaces, integration methods and deployment approaches
Working closely with delivery and engineering teams to ensure successful implementation
Designing secure data flows and information exchange solutions
Applying secure-by-design and defence-in-depth principles throughout the architecture lifecycle
Identifying technical risks, dependencies and constraints
Supporting design authority and architecture governance activities
Participating in customer workshops, discovery sessions and technical reviews
Collaborating with stakeholders across architecture, engineering, cyber security and programme delivery functions
Essential Experience
Experience delivering or contributing to complex technology solutions
Strong understanding of architecture principles and systems design
Ability to gather and analyse requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Experience producing architecture artefacts, design documentation and technical presentations
Exposure to software, cloud, infrastructure, networking or cyber security technologies
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary delivery teams
