Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role based in Chandigarh, with flexibility for some work from home. The WordPress and Shopify Developer will design, develop, and maintain websites and online stores using WordPress and Shopify, ensuring responsive layouts, clean code, and optimal performance. Day-to-day responsibilities include customizing themes, configuring plugins and apps, integrating payment gateways, and implementing SEO-friendly structures. The role also involves troubleshooting technical issues, performing regular site updates, collaborating with designers and content teams, and testing features across browsers and devices. The developer will work closely with clients or internal stakeholders to gather requirements, suggest improvements, and deliver secure, scalable solutions aligned with project goals.
Qualifications
Strong proficiency in WordPress development, including theme customization, plugin configuration, and WordPress CMS management.
Hands-on experience with Shopify store setup, theme customization, app integration, and basic Liquid templating.
Solid understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design principles.
Knowledge of website performance optimization, basic on-page SEO, and best practices for usability and accessibility.
Experience with version control tools (e.g., Git) and familiarity with common development workflows and deployment processes.
Ability to analyze requirements, troubleshoot issues, and provide clear, practical technical solutions.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with design, content, and marketing teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Prior experience in an agency or product-based environment and a portfolio of WordPress and Shopify projects is highly beneficial.
