Full-Stack Developer Intern (React Native + Firebase) | Remote, India
Kit-Cut is a bill-splitting app for India. Think Splitwise, built for how we actually split money: UPI payments, Hinglish quick entry (“dinner 500 split 4”), and seven Indian languages. We’re building it in the open and want a few sharp interns to help ship it.
About the role
You’ll work directly with the founder on real features that real users will touch. This is not a “fetch coffee” internship. You’ll own small features end to end, from the screen to the database.
What you’ll do
Build and polish app screens in React Native (Expo) and TypeScript, following our design system.
Write and improve Firebase Cloud Functions and Firestore security rules
Fix bugs, add tests, and keep money calculations accurate to the paisa.
Help ship features such as group budgets, recurring bills, and settle-up flows
Review your own work against the design spec before asking for a review.
You might be a fit if you
Know JavaScript or TypeScript well, and have built at least one project with React or React Native.
Understand basic backend ideas (APIs, databases, authentication), even if from coursework.
Have a GitHub with real projects, or a portfolio we can open and click through.
Write clean code and ask questions when stuck.
Can work independently and communicate clearly in a remote team
Bonus (not required)
Experience with Firebase (Auth, Firestore, Cloud Functions)
Interest in fintech, UPI, or consumer apps
Comfort with Git, pull requests, and basic testing (Jest)
What you’ll get
Duration: [3 months], remote, [flexible hours]
Real code shipped to a live product, with mentorship and feedback
Internship certificate and a recommendation letter for strong performance
[Possible full-time offer / pre-placement opportunity]
Tech stack: Expo, React Native, TypeScript, Firebase (Auth, Firestore, Storage, Cloud Functions), Jest
